Stone craft deals with the extraction of building stone from deposits and its processing and preparation. Stone masonry was highly developed as early as the beginning of antiquity (Egypt). In Poland it was launched at the end of the 10th century where masonry construction had its beginning and in the Romantic period it was one of the most important building specialties.

STONE

Today stone masonry is mainly associated with the production of tombstones and building elements. Tombstones are usually made from magmatic or metamorphic rocks, while sedimentary rocks are also used in construction. In quarries large blocks of rock are mined and then cut into pieces of different thickness known as slabs. Usually these are 2-3 cm slabs which by their cross-section show original and unique patterns. The next stage is the process of polishing the slabs to obtain a smooth and shining surface. The polished slabs are cut into individual pieces where the outer surfaces are polished after cutting or the edges are milled and polished. Abrasive tools are used for this process. Abrasive discs with a silicon carbide coating will perfectly prepare the surface for the polishing process. Cut off wheels allow you to create artistic patterns and decorations on the stones giving you unlimited creative possibilities. Our
abrasives can be used to level the surface of natural stones such as marble, granite or sandstone. Different grit of abrasive products allow you to tailor any material to the specific needs of each
product.
