WOODWORK
Abrasives are a very important tool for woodworkers enabling them to finish and model wood withprecision. Aluminium oxide grain is mostly used in the grinding process. Type of coating plays a crucial role in assesing both quality and cost of grinding. The difference between open and closed coat abrasives are how much of the surface area is covered with abrasive grains. Open coat abrasives covered with grain in 50-70% are less densely packed with grains compared to closed coat abrasives – 100% grain coverage. Open coat abrasives are better for sanding softer materials like cedar, pine, aluminum, and brass. Closed coat abrasives are better suited to sand harder materials like oak, hickory, and steel. The most universal and popular type is semi-open coat where surface is covered with grain in 80-90% aapplied mostly for hardwood and wood-based sanding.
Abrasives are available in various forms, such as sandpaper in rolls and sheets, endless belts, grip discs,
sponges and many others. Each product is dedicated to a specific application. We invite you to
